Programme Objective

 

Our main objective is to instill confidence in the students when using the Malay Language either orally or in writing. We would also like to make the learning experience a fun one for the students.

 

Holistic Learning

 

Students will be coached holistically, covering the listening, speaking, reading and writing skills in the Malay Language. Other than written assignments, students will also be exposed to teaching materials from the internet, newspaper, magazine, fiction and non-fiction books.

 

Oral

 

  • Continuous journaling for thematic materials

  • Personal coaching to sharpen the oral skills

  • Group coaching for exchanging of ideas with peers

  • Acquire the skills needed to increase the level of response (picture discussion and conversation)

 

Paper 2

 

  • Emphasis on the strengthening of basic grammar rules and answering techniques

  • Utilising the materials in Paper 2 revision papers for Oral and Composition (eg. Use of idioms)

Composition

 

  • Continuous journaling for vocabulary/plot bank to be used in composition

  • Studying original texts ( from the newspaper, magazines, books, comprehension texts) as a writing guide

  • Acquire powerful writing traits as covered in the book “Saya Boleh Mengarang”
