The Primary English Mastery™ tutorial and enrichment programme @ Edufront aims to stretch our students’ language capacity, foster their passion, grit and curiosity in the English language.

 

This system is designed by our English HOD incorporating his own on-going research on language acquisition as well as various research-based practices and strategies in the acquisition of the English language around the world.

 

Structured Diagnostics Testing to identify and close learning gaps. This diagnostic testing is done upon registration into the programme. The diagnostic test is a comprehensive and sophisticated proprietary tool created in-house by our English HOD establishing your child’s fundamental vocabulary and knowledge of grammar in the English language. Based on the result of the diagnostics test, students’ language mastery levels are identified and strategies would be crafted by our language specialists in order to create a learning plan for your child.

Layers Approach enables both student and tutors to see which level and aspect of the English language that your child requires assistance in and various activities and materials will then be supporting your child’s revision and learning sessions.

Pyramid Layers is the gradual and comprehensive process of Knowing and Understanding how learning of a language works and Applying this knowledge to their own learning of the English language would help students understand their learning needs. Understanding this will also allow tutors to assist students to identify their difficulties in learning and create bridges of understanding in the English Language as students discover more complex and sophisticated levels of language.

Students must be consistent in their daily revision as well as journaling exercises to strengthen recollection of Vocabulary and Grammar. Determination and curiosity will fuel their consequent and gradual mastery of complex Syntax and deep Semantic of various texts and passages.

The Spiral Progression principle in the curriculum framework for the English language designed by the Ministry of Education ensures that students will be exposed to vocabulary, grammatical items, sentence structures as well as texts in increasing levels of difficulty and complexity. This allows tutors to enable students to gradually attain confidence and knowledge in the English language while being aware of their own capabilities and areas of improvement.
